In 2025, Horizons Casino embarked on an exciting new chapter, expanding our footprint into the ground floor of Queen’s House with a full-scale refurbishment. The new space combines a sleek, modern and vibrant design with the warm, personal atmosphere our guests have always loved.
We’ve introduced two new card tables, a roulette table, brand-new slot machines with progressive jackpots, and modern electronic roulette terminals, giving players more choice than ever before.
Our restaurant offering has grown too, with increased seating, a large south-facing terrace, and the launch of our in-house dining concept, Ember at Horizons, located in the heart of Leicester Square, Ember is centred around open-fire cooking and celebrates global cuisine with bold flavours and a sense of theatre, making dining in London’s West End as much an experience as a meal.
Crowning it all is our immersive LED ceiling, which transforms the room with ambient sky scenes and themed show moments, adding a touch of wonder to every visit. This expansion allows us to elevate the Horizons experience and offer more choice while retaining the cosy, intimate feel that has defined us since 1988.

Built as the Queen’s Hotel in 1899 on the former site of Leicester House (once the residence of Frederick, Prince of Wales), it later became home to the Monseigneur News Theatre before evolving into the iconic building you see today. Its early French Renaissance façade in Portland stone and granite has watched Leicester Square transform from aristocratic residences to the entertainment capital of London — and we’re proud to be part of that legacy.
