American Roulette at Horizons Casino, Leicester Square
Roulette is the most iconic game in any casino — and at Horizons we offer both single zero and American (double zero) Roulette, with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that suits everyone from first-timers to seasoned players. A spin takes less than a minute, the range of bets suits every budget, and our dealers are always happy to explain the game before you begin.
Our Roulette tables are open daily from 11am until 6am, with a minimum bet of £2.
How to play
American Roulette uses a wheel with 38 numbered pockets — numbers 1 through 36 alternating red and black, plus a green 0 and green 00. Players bet on where they think the ball will land. Once all bets are placed and the dealer calls “No more bets”, the wheel is spun and the ball settles into a pocket. Winning bets are paid and losing bets are collected.
Buying chips
Each Roulette table uses colour-coded chips specific to that table. To buy in, place your cash on the table and ask the dealer for “colour please”. You will be assigned a unique colour so your bets can be distinguished from other players. When you finish, exchange your colour chips for standard cash-value chips with the dealer — these can be used at other tables or cashed in at the Cash Desk.
Placing bets
You may bet on a single number, any combination of numbers, or one of the even-money outside bets such as Red/Black, Odd/Even or High/Low. Place your bets before and during the spin until the dealer announces “No more bets”. The minimum and maximum stake for each bet type is displayed at the table.

Single Zero Roulette
Alongside our American Roulette tables, Horizons also offers Single Zero Roulette. The wheel carries 37 numbered pockets — numbers 1 through 36 alternating red and black, plus a single green 0. There is no 00.
Play is exactly as described above: the same inside and outside bets are available, placed on the same layout, and they pay at the same odds. The only difference is the wheel itself. Because there is one green pocket rather than two, the house edge on a single zero wheel is lower than on a double zero wheel, which is why single zero tables are popular with regular players.
The half-loss rule applies on the single zero tables in the same way as on our double zero tables: when 0 appears, half of any even-money outside bet is lost. Stakes are the same on both, ranging from a £2 minimum straight up on our minimum tables to £10,000 on the even chances at our maximum tables.

Electronic Roulette Terminals
As well as our live Roulette tables, Horizons offers 47 electronic roulette terminals — individual electronic stations where you can place Roulette bets from your own screen, linked directly to a live wheel on the casino floor.
To play, insert notes into the terminal and your credits will appear on screen. Tap the layout to place bets, then watch the live wheel result on your screen. When you’re ready to stop, press “cash” and collect your ticket at the Cash Desk. Electronic Roulette terminals are open from 10am daily — an hour earlier than the live tables.
